Retrofit Actuator Solutions (Remote Control Actuator Module - RCAM)

Microsol (UK) Ltd are able to supply a range high-quality, retrofit non-intrusive actuators specifically designed for ground-mounted distribution switchgear in the UK market and is one of only a few providers of an integrated RTU and actuator solution across a range of switchgear manufacturers. These RCAM products incorporate Microsol’s USP-010 micro RTU in conjunction with a range of rotary and linear actuator solutions.

With a comprehensive in-house design and development capability Microsol can provide an integrated remote control solution including intelligent battery-backed power, monitoring and control options, plus a range of radio communication options including GPRS and PAKNET.

To date within the UK electricity market, Microsol has supplied in excess of 750 solutions to three Distribution Network Operators covering the following common switch types:

• Schneider - Ringmaster RN2
